These maps are nuts! They are no longer hiding their racism.

Thank you, Joy. This is a lot to take in but such vital information. I appreciate the thoroughness and attention to detail. We all need to understand as much as we can about Texas. There are people fighting hard for our democracy in Texas and we need to support them. Jasmine Crockett is one of my favorite people. Brave. Outspoken. Smart. Like you.

Right. And Texas never showed any type of racist behavior. Not one citizen! Imagine! (sarcasm, sarcasm)

Every time I say this article that I read was spot on This #reider is impressed with your class and style and expertise of writing facts and format . Thanks for bringing this to the front it is racial . Your guest was awesome on TJRS Ms JJ !! This article is so factual when you have people in place to do there mission when civil rights of people are being taken away. Yes one group is getting bigger than another it is of greater concern now while they are creating detention for them . We were taken and lynched and burn in our communities when we organized and spoke out . There was and still a time you checked to see who made it home that night coming from work. We know the red lining in real estate really we know racism and gerrymandering is all that. Your article takes us back to we know they have those secret societies in certain states more than others yes let’s be real with this reality. Every group have issues with racism but this administration and the real folks who put project 2025 together had an agenda ready to move . Everyone needs to share this article with their family and friends.

Thank you for that most comprehensive explanation of gerrymandering in existence!! I wish somehow, it could be available to everyone. What the republicans have done and will continue to do is one of the most damaging form of voter suppression (they cheat in many other ways also). If democrats fail to fight fire with fire, we will never win again.

State republican politicians are the worst. They do not care about the people in their state only about how they can out do the other republicans in other republican states. Their constituents can starve, get sick and die, go bankrupt because of their policies but it is ok as long as they can out misogynic and out racist everyone else. They will spend days talking about how to screw over trans youth while their roads are crap and their rural hospitals go broke. They can spend the whole session talking about books in schools while their seniors are forced out of senior centers because of Medicaid cuts. They have sold their souls way before Trump came along. I lived for 20 years in one of those states and they are the worst. Gerrymandering is necessary because if there was equal and fair representation, they would have to give up some of their insatiable desire for power. Racist, homophobic and women hating politicians always somehow get to the top of their ladder for success. There is a church in every corner of their states, but they only look at religion as a means to help them screw over everybody that doesn't fit their idea of a white male supremacy world.
