Is Jeffries gonna wait for Schumer to endorse Mandami? I’m a life-long Dem but the party has slipped back to its pre-Obama milktoast days with great slogans and lingo but no real action! This is NOT a time for moderates & Mandami has it right!

Thank you for your thoughtful analysis of the Middle East conflicts and the all-too-common suggestion that criticism of Netanyahu is an expression of antisemitism. It is not!

Really important post Joy.

Thank you for taking the time to dig a little deeper than most, sharing important definitions and backgrounds on names and expressions freely thrown around by way too many ignorant people. Thank you!

I’m on a similar path of inviting people to stop, and take a look at the words they are using…. like democratic socialism.

What the hell?

Read the Preamble of our Constitution, the moral underpinnings of our all be it imperfect democracy. It’s all about caring for each other and our children’s futures. That’s not socialism, that a working democracy.

Again, great post Joy, thank you.

History of the middle east is very calm complex.

However, what we are doing to Gaza is not acceptable!!

Mamdani’s opinion on Gaza does not make him an antisemite.

Why Jefferies has not endorsed him has to do with Jefferies and the corporate money he accepts !

Too bad Jefferies can’t do the right thing!

It is his city also and his people!!

Thank you for going into depth about the reality of the ignorance displayed by our political leaders. Both political parties are more scared of AIPIC than of the NRA. To denounce a country that is trying to eliminate the people who have lived in that country forever is, in my humble opinion, not wrong but the only humane way to feel.

Israel Gov't policy since the 1970's has been complicit in the rise of Hamas. To get a quick summary (5-7 minute read) check out, Israeli support for Hamas-Wikipedia. For a deeper dive I highly encourage everyone to read, Hamas Contained by Tareq Baconi. Tareq is a Palestinian and no fan of Hamas but is the leading researcher on how Hamas came into existence and how the Israeli gov't, particularly when Netanyahu became Prime Minister, aided and abetted Hamas.

Once again a well-researched post. You are amazing. So many of these details I have not heard before, but since I rely on you and other substackers for news I need to catch up.

I'm not surprised about Gillibrand she has to be one of the worst. Never will I ever forget what she did to run the Senator from Minnesota out of the Senate. Bitch. Sorry, but she and Hakeem have been useless. Dan Dildy is right. But don't expect schumer to go out of his way to help the cause. Has any congress to date behaved in such a cowardly fashion? I am so embarrassed to be a dem. These democratic eunuchs in congress need to be called out. Joy please interview Hakeem and tell him we the people are fed up with the cowardly behavior of these castrated do nothings.

And while I'm at it can I ask: what were Oprah and G. King doing at the brezos wedding? Do they really need to be in the spotlight. Gayle reminds me of the current adulation of the Kardashians. No talent except Oprah's coattails. But then what has Oprah done beside interview the grifters of Montecito. I'm sorry but giving away cars and whatever does not make her a saint.
