So sickening when adults cannot own their mistakes. To all those MAGAS who follow the Jim Jones of today, Mr. Orange Anus, just so ya know.....the lives of all those who died, and in particular any of the children who died in the flood are on your head....own it!

I think the general Republican attitude was best expressed by Senator Joni Ernst: "Well, we are all going to die." With that attitude, why bother with public measures to avoid catastrophes? Just pray that God exempts you and accepts the deceased into heaven.

I got nothing🤷🏽‍♀️ Republicans deny relief funds to “blue” states but when catastrophes happen to them, their on TV saying now is not the time for politics. In fact, I believe Cruz has voted against funds for other states. All signals were on red/emergency during the last election but a majority wanted this mess rather than a competent minority woman. God bless & receive the children who’ve been lost.

How many little white girls are dead, 9, 10?...not enough for MAGA, I'm sure. They'll lay some more innocent lives on the altar of trump. His wish is their command—white people on my last nerves. I can no longer care about them. Let the games begin!

Thank you Joy. The people who voted for him and his henchmen are going to suffer but it was better for them that they suffer than vote for a black woman. We need a national work stoppage by everyone who did not vote for Donald Trump.

Joy, the maps are so informative. TX will continue to be red because you can't fix stupid.

While I am sure many Texans would like no government at all and to just leave everything to Providence, I am much less sure that elections there are free and fair, especially after I heard recently about the investigation of computerized voting booths in New York State in Rockland County. Apparently there were some updates to the software shortly before the 2024 election that were not adequately tested and the statistics about how many people voted for Trump are really weird when you also look at how many people voted for the same party for Senate. (The investigation is ongoing; look up the two related nonprofits, "SMART Elections" and "SMART Legislation for more.)

Granted, 2024 was a very unusual election, but we know that Trump was decrying elections as rigged as far back as 2016. If "every accusation is a confession," as some are saying about this regime, then MAGA rigging might be worth considering more seriously. I know Democrats don't want to say elections are anything but "free" and "fair" after the insurrection, but maybe the attention was deliberately misdirected to the wrong states because MAGA knew where they had rigged them and they were hoping they could prove the other side was doing the same thing.

(I doubt MAGA "leaders" can comprehend the idea that others may have much more altruistic motivations than they do. To them it's all about winning power, control and profits. I expect they remain baffled as to why they couldn't uncover voter fraud where they had everyone look.)

Just to add a little local perspective, In Norman OK where we had a NOAA facility housing researchers and approximately 100 + employees, the whole facility was shut down and employees jobless. Solid red aka dumbass OK has what to amounts to the most moronic "reps" in Congress. Yes we have that "roads scholar" JimjohnBobbyjoemarkwayne as one of most vocal MAGATS. Guess how he voted on that stupid bill. And in Norman Ok where our congressional "rep" of the 4th district, Tom felon supporter Cole. would rather support a felon that "his" constituents. He is the living (barely) example of Federal waste and abuse.
