On Monday’s episode of TJRS, we open on the latest person on Trump’s indictment “hit list”, Jack Smith. We then sit down and talk with Congresswoman LaMonica McIver about her pending DOJ case and malicious prosecution. As well as her fight to take care of her constituents in the midst of the administration’s systematic destruction of social safety nets like health care and SNAP. But, hey! At least billionaire Timothy Mellon can donate $130 million to our troops to head of any type of military coup.
We move on then to discuss Joy’s proposal that Donald J Trump is not such a wholly different creature than his Republican predecessor George “Dubya” Bush. We go over Bush’s many crimes, some of which you may have forgotten, and in doing so look at the many ways in which the right’s playbook never really changes. It only escalates. Speaking of the playbook, it’s being made increasingly clear that the orange oligarch has every intention of violating the constitution and snatching himself a third term. Meanwhile his handlers attempt to sell this flagrant demolition of our democracy with religion. Specifically the Anti-Christ... hm.
And finally for tonight’s moment of Joy, early voting has begun in NYC and we hear a rousing speech from the hopeful future Mayor, Zohran Mamdani.
