It makes sense that the regime wants citizens to either cower in fear ("obey or die") or engage in violence with ICE, in order for the regime to declare martial law, invoke the Insurrection Act, and suspend the 2026 elections. But their playbook is based upon a lot of assumptions, especially assumptions about their ability to control events. That is a mistake.
They know they can't control events, though they try, hoping to have a little success. That's why they work so hard to lie about everything, hoping people will believe their bs stories. It's also why I have subscribed to literally dozens of independent news sources starting in 2024, even though I can only listen to and read about 1/10 of what hits my inbox, and why I spread what I feel are most important representative stories, because the truth needs support.
On second thought, they do think they can control events through their brazenness and lies, except they also see it's not working, so they try harder. The analogy is that they are sensing their dinner is burning, so they are turning up the oven. They want to gobble us all up - our money, our free will, our power, even our love - but seeing that failing, they'll destroy everything and all of us even though it will leave them with nothing. They are ultimately self-destructive.
PLEASE PLEASE stop saying this happened in suburbia. South Minneapolis is a working class neighborhood. NOT SUBURBIA. It has a real mix of people. Not far from this place was the home of the 1st AIM office (American Indian Movement), their Little Red School House (similar to the Panthers), many food Co-ops, first Lesbian Resource Center. MPLS has a rich history of organizing.
It is not surprising that the orange man and his racist army has target this place... just like in Chicago, LA and D.C.
One clue is OpenSecrets.org, where you can see who their major donors have been in the past. If a big donor was AIPAC, they likely supported Netanyahu. Pay most attention to the people in your districts, the candidates you can actually vote for. Research the news organizations where you get your local news to see how they might be biased. It's not just what they say, but also what they may be leaving out. Seek out reputable sources. Listen to all candidates, and try to check anything they present as facts. Don't vote for deliberate liars.
