A Daily Reid - Trump to Americans: eat sh*t
Donald Trump doesn't deserve our respect, since he doesn't respect us or our country
There’s a 1993 dancehall song by Buju Banton that goes:
“No respect, disrespect in all aspects;
Some bwoy no know who dem a deal wid … Dem fi stop and check …”
It’s an ode to assertively disrespecting those who deserve no better. Donald Trump is one of those people. He has no respect for this country or for its people (except for the billionaires.) He figuratively and visually shits on the First Amendment and peaceful protesters, using AI memes.
And those in his maga base only think he has respect for them, because they’re so lost inside the cult they can’t hear him laughing at them from the golden toilets of Mar-a-Lago and screaming “let them eat cake" while he bankrupts their farms, wrecks their businesses with his beloved tariffs, pisses away the markets for their goods to hand them to his overseas friends like Javier Millei of Argentina, who gets a $40 billion bailout …. while selling them overpriced, shitty merch that commemorates only him and outright lying that prices and inflation are down when everyone can see that they’re way, way up. And while millions of Americans will wait with baited breath today to see if their SNAP EBT cards work so their families can eat, Trump’s probably low paid, likely largely immigrant staff is busy cleaning up Mar-a-lago after the boss threw a lavish, Great Gatsby themed party at his tacky Palm Beach mansion; literally playing right in our faces.
Donald Trump has no respect for the people of this country whom he seems more than happy to allow to go hungry, just before Thanksgiving. Clearly, he has no respect for the federal workers who make the government function or for the migrants who literally feed and build this nation — given that he’s letting his Project 2025 henchman Russel Vought fire them during the Republican shutdown. This, while their billionaire friends fire tens of thousands, too. He has zero respect for America’s long and hard-won tradition of liberalized immigration, despite that being how his draft dodging Bavarian grandfather and his big-haired, emotionally distant Scottish mother got here; to say nothing of two of his three wives. It’s long been clear he has no respect for marriage, or for women. When he’s not sexually abusing or harassing them, he’s belittling them, having brief, apparently unpleasant sexual affairs with them, or fantasizing about dating them (including if they’re currently 10 years old or his daughter.)
He has no respect for the rule of law, or for even the most basic rules of democracy or decency. He simply demands that people say that he won the election that he lost to Joe Biden in 2020; and that everyone go along with his delusions about renaming the Gulf of Mexico or the Department of Defense without congressional authorization.
Trump has no respect for life — he’s literally turning our military into a murder at sea militia … no better than a pack of sea pirates.
But then again, according to his own former chief of staff he believes people who join the military are losers and suckers anyway. He claims to “back the blue” and respect police, except when they’re standing in the way of his literal coup, or when they’re downwind from the tear gas his secret police are showering on those who refuse to obey or “self deport.” In fact, he thinks his regime’s violent immigration raids haven’t gone far enough.
He clearly has no respect for the White House, which he’s turning into a gilded, gold bedecked, tacky remnant of Mar-a-lago, while reducing the East Wing to rubble; or for his predecessors in office or for the presidency itself; viewing it instead as a parking lot on the road to becoming king.
And because Donald Trump respects no one and nothing, except other dictators, I feel that I owe him no respect. In fact, I plan to spend the rest of my life affording him and his rotten, embarrassing family precisely the same amount of respect that Trump himself has conferred upon the previous presidents of the United States.
He refuses to even acknowledge that Joe Biden exists, referring instead to himself as the 45th, 46th and 47th president and replacing Biden’s portrait in his “hall of heroes” with a picture of an autopen. And his shoddy, shabby, juvenile administration has taken his White House demolition for the purposes of erecting a giant, tacky ballroom — to be hereby known as the Epstein Ballroom and Fuhrerbunker — and lowered the bar even further, by turning our official White House website into just another troll site — mocking the three most recent Democratic presidents and defacing the White House website by posting, not their own renovations of the White House, but either real or in the case of President Obama, entirely made up scandals that clearly the sick and twisted mind of Donald Trump believes. All three former presidents, and Hunter Biden, should sue him for defamation.
For me, what I can do is disrespect the man.
So yeah, I’m going to laugh it up when he wanders around confused in Japan. At this stage, my loathing of Donald Trump is uncontainable. I hate him with the same passion Tucker Carlson does when he’s being honest in text messages. And I always will. My dream is that a future Democratic president, if we ever have another free and fair election, erases every trace of Donald Trump from the historical memory of the nation — reducing his soon-to-be tacky, gaudy, oligarch-funded, golden Epstein Chancellery and Führerbunker to rubble (on this,
and I agree._ Blot out his official presidential portrait and replace it with a photo of Trump smirking beside Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Melania.
If I had it my way, Democrats, if they ever regain power in the U.S. House, Senate, and White House would impeach every one of his ill gotten Supreme Court justices and exile his vile clan to Russia or Saudi Arabia. Send them to Saudi Arabia or Russia. They’ll be happy there. Reverse his egregious tax cuts. In fact, slap a Trump tax on every billionaire in this country. Send his precious Afrikaaners back to South Africa with nary a goodbye. Reverse every one of his policies and put his secret police on trial for civil rights violations and crimes against humanity, alongside his regime “homeland security” minions. But first and foremost — reduce his precious Epstein ballroom to rubble. Sorry, I’m petty that way.
No negotiation
Meanwhile, per a Capital Hill source, Republicans have chosen a strategy, as the pain of a potential SNAP cutoff closes in.
House Republicans have abandoned the Capitol, at their speaker’s direction, but Senate Republicans, who are still in D.C., are opting not to negotiate with Senate Democrats until at least after Tuesday’s elections. Per the source, they fear the blowback from SNAP cuts, which will hit their own states hard in many cases; and they lack a counter-argument to present to their voters. Why? Republicans — hopped up on the red pill — fully expected the No Kings Day protests to be replete with violence and rioting; and they hoped to have images of burning cities and rampaging latte liberals to take back to their states (or in the House, to their districts) to counterbalance the long lines at food banks. Instead, the protests were much larger than they expected — more than 7 million participants — and entirely peaceful. Worse for the Guardians of Pedophiles party: the protests were almost entirely composed of white people; leaving them with no pictures of Black protesters in handcuffs to scare their maga voters with. Kind of hard to get the qaida excited with pics of wobble-dancing giant frogs…
Apparently, the strategery inside the Republican Party and its bosses at Heritage Foundation at the moment is to wait to see how Tuesday’s elections play out, and then to assess whether to actually start negotiating.
Well in New York, more than 700,000 people have voted early, and it’s looking like a record breaking mayoral election may be on the way; with Zohran Mamdani potentially hitting the very high ceiling of winning 1 million votes before its all over. Filed under “why it matters:”
A New York City mayoral candidate hasn’t accumulated 1 million votes since 1969, when liberal candidate John Lindsay surpassed that figure against Democratic candidate Mario Procaccino and Republican candidate John Marchi.
Oh, and Trump might take us to war with Nigeria, and Venezuela, too. So much for the “peace president.”

Thank you, Joy-Ann Reid! This made my morning.
May all your dreams for this administration and every single one of its enablers big and small come true!
I love the sharpness of your writing this morning. Just a long time fan from Nebraska.
