A Daily Reid: The regime is lying about Los Angeles (and the media is helping them)
Trump, Bondi, Hegseth and the puppy killer have created a fake, dystopian version of Los Angeles as a cheap excuse to launch a military occupation of California.
The lies the regime is telling about Los Angeles are easy to disprove. You just have to go to Los Angeles. That’s precisely what I and members of the Joy Reid Show team did last Thursday (we’re preparing to leave today.)
We were in town for BET 45th anniversary events, The Culture Creators brunch, where I was humbled to receive an award alongside some of the baddest women and men in entertainment, and Jason and I were supposed to attend the BET Awards, which we wound up skipping so we could interview L.A. Mayor Karen Bass.
Starting on Thursday, we were all over the city — from West Hollywood to downtown, including city hall (where the interview took place.) In addition, while we headed to Oakland to interview newly inaugurated mayor Barbara Lee on Sunday, our photographer ventured into the belly of the downtown protests that followed day three of random, military-style ICE raids that took place all over Los Angeles County.
The targets of the aggressive, almost warlike operation have included a Home Depot in nearby Paramount… an L.A. Home Depot that’s right next to a high school, multiple warehouses and day labor sites in the city plus a doughnut shop, as well as school graduations, a park in mostly Black Englewood, various construction sites, and we heard rumors of agents showing up at a popular local taco spot and even lurking 45 minutes north of L.A. at Disneyland. What are they gonna do? Ride rides and get autographs from Captain America? Because I can tell you there are no MS13 or Tren de Aragua gang members hanging out at Disneyland.
So if it’s not to eject unajudicated “criminals” from the country, what was the purpose of these raids, besides terrorizing randomly selected brown people all over the state and making racial profiling great again? Apparently, the goal is threefold: meeting maga Nosferatu’s 3,000 brown person a day kidnap quota … giving Trump an excuse to use the predictable protest response as an excuse to militarily occupy California or just use the Insurrection Act to put the whole country under martial law, and producing dramatic media coverage like this:
To be clear, the mainstream media at this point, is participating in selling a lie: that Los Angeles is so out of control, it’s plausible that Trump would send in the military as an occupying stabilizing force. Mainstream journalists are even going so far as to casually inquire about the insurrection act, which gives Pam Bondi the chance to do her Leni Riefenstahl act:
Of course, Pam Bondi is making those statements from Washington D.C., not from Los Angeles. But she’s not alone in spinning the yarn that not just L.A. Mayor Bass, but also Governor Gavin Newsom have lost control of their state, and need the help of the Trump regime to get it back under control. Here’s the Fox weekend host who for some ungodly reason is in charge of the Pentagon:
Well to reiterate, we were in Los Angeles, not Washington, and we had the chance to view the city from multiple venues firsthand, and I can tell you without speculating, that L.A. is perfectly normal.
We spotted lots of shoppers, people going to work, and a virtually empty city hall area, with the exception of lots and lots of “fuck Trump” and “fuck ICE” tags on and near the federal detention center (which is probably why Trump is so bum-hurt…)
The BET Awards went off without a hitch, including this incredible moment by Doechi:
Well said, young Queen! And all around, things were perfectly normal in L.A., EXCEPT in the places where ICE agents showed up and started kidnapping people. Which the governor rightly pointed out in a strong statement yesterday:
And Bondi might want to ask herself: whose fault might it be that police were so preoccupied starting last Friday, that they couldn’t protect the downtown fashion district 2 miles from City Hall and keep opportunistic hooligan types from looting the Apple Store? Also why might the Fashion District be on edge?
And here is an important point, also made in our interview with Mayor Bass:
"And I do want to say, especially for our national audiences, that those of us in Los Angeles understand that the unrest that has happened are a few blocks within the downtown area. It is not all of downtown, and it is not all of the city. Unfortunately, the the visuals make it seem as though our entire city is in flames, and it is not the case at all.
"Now, having said that, the violence and the damage is unacceptable, it is not going to be tolerated, and individuals will be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
The duality of L.A. is that it is a perfectly normal, quiet city almost everywhere, but almost everywhere, you never know if you’ll be kidnapped by federal agents, if your skin happens to be brown. And people are at this point terrified to go to work, to school, to their graduations, to the store, or to Home Depot. And the businesses Pam Bondi pretends to care about? The risk to them is not their own dish washers, cooks, clerks and construction workers. It’s the Trump regime, that keeps kidnapping their employees. Maybe they should stop doing that. If they do, and withdraw their occupation forces, L.A. and the rest of California can go on about its business.
But we all know they won’t do that. Because the occupation is the goal.

I watched a little of the msm this morning and ended up screaming at the tv about the tone an tenor of the prognosticators (the very important expert commentators on politics). TOTAL BS. Just repeating the Trump lies about LA.
I simply do not watch the news on main stream tv anymore. It is drivel and poison!

Thank you for being on the ground in LA. This just hit me between the eyes. Trump and his evil minions are using the federal government to engage in an all out race war against our population. Why on earth would they FLY Afrikaners to the US, and then speed them into protected asylum???
Meanwhile, people who have been here for DECADES are being rounded up and EXILED (that's the term) without a hint of due process. "Immigration" is their justification, like the Nazis. But remember they are going after birthright citizenship. That will strip anyone of their status as an American.
The administration will increasingly go after Black Americans, Brown Americans, and those they deem "non-white," (Catholics, the "wrong kind of Jews," all Muslims, all queers and Trans people, etc). This is a RACE War and we need to act accordingly. It's why ICE wears masks (instead of white hoods).
