Oh, the grifting and gifting going on with this administration. Holy hell, Trump and his Christofascist Nationalist Movement KKKlub are absolutely underestimating Americans who have been wide awake since before Trump 1.0 or are now awaking as they see they have been made a fool to believe his lies.

Governments are not businesses. Businesses are in it for profit. Period!

Government is a service provided through our tax dollars to protect us and our country. Period! Therefore, We the People need to rethink how we want our government to run so this Trump Authoritarian KKKrap NEVER happens again.

I retired in 06. Lord please don't let the country take on the how and when of my job. If you were the right color and promiscuous, you got promoted. If you spoke up about the injustice you got put on the list. The list consisted of not promoting you, not giving you good positions, etc. No I don't want the country to be like a job with a boss.

Expecting to run the US government like a business simply demonstrates that most people don't really understand how a business is run. There is no voting; there are no safety-net provisions when the business refuses to pay a living wage, provide health care, paid sick days, vacations, child-care or anything else. Businesses rant and rage about regulations for safety and the overall welfare of workers, and for clean air and water. Workers do not get dividends because, for the most part, they don't own the business (there are some exceptions for ESOP plans and businesses that encourage employee ownership) and they most certainly do not have any say in who the CEO, other C-suite executives and the board of directors are. Business schools use real-world cases of failed businesses and failed business decisions and they never run out of examples.

Thank you, Joy. Maybe we can counter the removal of our heroes and icons by creating plaques for our homes and businesses, and bumper stickers for our cars. For those of us who can afford it, create posters and billboards that are prominently placed where they can't be ignored, e.g., bus stops, billboards. On anniversaries, send out fliers to any and everyone to honor the fallen, the great, the innovative. Make sure our contributions to this country are even more visible than they are right now. We don't need the assholes to elevate us. Maybe it's time we reinvent oral history traditions with a modern twist ... in our posts, podcasts, newsletters, in our art, etc. We own the narrative of our history, not the regime. Let's do it loud and proud and with our unmistakable cultural flair. Sounds like fun to me ... and powerful.

Thank you Joy. It is very hard to believe how low we have fallen. Hegseth is terrible, but every one of his cabinet picks are bottom of a rotten barrel. If we get through this i hope every senator who supported these jackels will finally feel the shame they deserve for what they let loose on the America public.
