A Daily Reid: Epstein's creepy pics; plus Harvard investigates the wrong people
Jeffrey Epstein had a lot of high powered friends ... and a fiendish collection of explicit toys
Why is Harvard investigating its own students? According to Steve Schmidt and Mark Arsenault at the New York Times:
Harvard officials have opened a secret disciplinary investigation into at least two students for their roles in drawing scrutiny to the relationship between the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the school’s former president, Larry Summers, according to three people briefed on the matter.
The students posted videos online showing Mr. Summers addressing students in a Harvard lecture hall about his connections to Mr. Epstein last month, and took credit for pressuring him to step away from teaching after the disclosures. The investigation includes an examination of whether the students — who publicly criticized Mr. Summers — violated a series of rules, including attending a class they were not enrolled in, the three people said.
The students are facing potential discipline that could range from a private reprimand to being required to withdraw from the school, according to the two people. It is against Harvard’s rules for students to attend classes they are not enrolled in. And it is also against the rules to record classes without consent or publicize those recordings.
The investigation is being conducted after Harvard received complaints from at least one faculty member after the videos, including some that included a teacher and students in it, were posted online, according to one of the people briefed on the investigation.
The complaints initially claimed that the two students in question violated the university’s anti-bullying policy, which prohibits aggressive words or actions, including yelling and insults, that create a hostile environment, according to one of the people. But the bullying portion of the complaints was dropped and the inquiry is now just focused on whether the students violated the policies about videotaping the class and attending a class they were not enrolled in, the person said.
The people briefed on the investigation spoke on the condition of anonymity because they did not want to be identified discussing an investigation that is supposed to remain confidential.
The students under investigation are Rosie P. Couture and Lola DeAscentiis. They are both supposed to graduate this spring and have been active in feminist causes on campus. Both women declined to comment in response to email messages seeking comment.
Harvard declined to address the specifics of the investigation. But in a written statement said: “The College prohibits unauthorized recording of classroom proceedings to protect classrooms as spaces for intellectual exploration and risk-taking, to respect student privacy, and to prevent chilling effects that undermine participation and inquiry.”
Huh???
And what might have been so embarrassing about Summers relationship with Epstein that it warrants an internal investigation of students?? Maybe stuff like this:
The woman Larry Summers asked for advice on how to get “horizontal” with in emails to Jeffrey Epstein is a high-flying economist, The Post can reveal.
The ex-Treasury Secretary was referring to Chinese macro-economist Keyu Jin, 43 — then a tenured London School of Economics professor and Harvard graduate — and daughter of a top Chinese associate of President Xi Jinping.
In several messages from 2018 and 2019, married former Harvard president Summers, 70, confided in his “wing man” Epstein about a woman he was chasing and delivered blow-by-blow updates of his pursuit.
Throughout their correspondence, Summers and Epstein referred to the woman as “peril” — never using her name in messages, but he also forwarded some of her emails for commentary, in which Jin’s name is unredacted
In one such exchange, Summers asked Epstein whether it was “meaningful” to talk about the probability of “my getting horizontal w peril”.
“U r better at understanding Chinese women than at probability theory,” Summers told Epstein.
Gross.
Jeffrey Epstein was not a Harvard man, but he certainly cultivated Harvard connections, including with Summers and former Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz.
He apparently was also a purveyor of race science and racial hierarchy paranoia that seeped into Silicon Valley in the 1990s and beyond:

Joscha Bach, whose work on cognitive architectures and machine consciousness has shaped advanced AI research and influenced figures such as Elon Musk, appears in the documents engaging Epstein in sweeping discussions about race, hierarchy, genetic engineering and the supposed ‘utility’ of mass death, including under conditions of climate stress.Meanwhile, another philosopher whose ideas underpin much of modern longtermism and whose work helped shape Silicon Valley’s early thinking on artificial general intelligence, Nick Bostrom, moved through the same intellectual and institutional ecosystem.
His published arguments on eugenics, selective population strategies and existential “optimisation” reveal a parallel strand of thinking within that milieu, financed and legitimised by many of the same networks.
Both men were also financed by Epstein.
Taken together, the Bach correspondence and the longtermist ideas circulating in this environment show that human hierarchy, population thinning and genetic destiny were not fringe provocations, but part of the ambient intellectual air inside the circles designing the next generation of AI.
Well all of that tracks, with men who seem to view women and even girl children, as little more than vessels for male enjoyment and procreation — there to be abused and discarded by men who view themselves as genetically, socially and racial superior — despite their clear sociopathy and social inadequacy. I mean it doesn’t get more socially inadequate than a grown man hunting for sexual partners by sending his minions to lurk around the local middle school.
A monster in pictures
Of course, Jeffrey Epstein — Donald Trump’s best friend for more than a decade — also happened to be one of the most prolific monsters of the present ate. In a world of Donald Trumps, Puff Daddys, Harvey Weinsteins, Bill Cosbys, R. Kellys, Russell Simmons, Charlie Roses, Matt Lauers … lord, I could go on and on … who were accused over time of doing horrible things to women (and in some cases men) which of course they have almost universally denied … Epstein existed on his own, vulgar plane, since his crimes over the decades, were against children.
Well, the House Oversight Panel last week dropped a new batch of creepy photos that may be the grossest since the infamous 50th birthday book. The photos, part of a 95,000 photo batch, depict Epstein skinning and grinning with various prominent men, including Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz, Woody Allen, Bill Clinton, Richard Bramson, and Donald Trump, who is pictured with various women, some whose faces have been redacted.
But perhaps the weirdest photos, depict Epstein’s creepy fetishes, including seeming obsessions with Trump’s sexual exploits, sex toys, and whatever the fuck this is:
What’s also revelatory in the release is the way Steve Bannon emerges as a constant adviser to Epstein (and vice versa) during the first Trump administration. He was reportedly advising Epstein on how to clean up his image; while Epstein was weighing in with Bannon on his pal Ken Starr helping out accused sex pest Brett Kavanaugh get elevated to the Supreme Court. Weird, right?
There are also batches of photos that depict former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, and that show Epstein’s gross massage equipment. And there’s an Epstein bubble bath pic that I refuse to even link to. Gross.
But among the photos, this one might be the creepiest:
What’s gross, in addition to the two men in the photo, are the photos on Epstein’s desk. I mean … is this a child leaning on his shoulder???

And who is in this blacked out photo?
Seems like the FBI could take some time off tracking pretend ANTIFA and a pretend NBA “mafia ring” and investigate???
Maybe Rep. Thompson could subpoena Bannon. He might be uniquely skilled at getting him to talk about Epstein’s apparent continuing influence during the first Trump administration — long after Trump supposedly cut off all ties to the notorious pedophile.
Merry freaking Christmas
Meanwhile, the regime tweeted, and then deleted this creepy video, pairing Santa, a jingle, and a fascist-style enemies list of journalists who Trump doesn’t like.
The list includes top reporter Carole Leonig, who specializes in stories about the U.S. Secret Service and the defense establishment, and Adrian Carrasquillo, who reports a great deal on immigration. It’s creepy as hell, and a sign that this regime is going full fasci.
Of course CNN is on the list — Trump is making “changing” the network central to his Communist China-style “approval” of the acquisition of Warner Bros. But weirdly, CBS News is, too, despite the Ellisons already breaking the back of the Tiffany Network, to turn it into Israel’s official U.S. P.R. firm, including Bari Weiss hosting Charlie Kirk widow Erica for a girls chat about how much Charlie loved Israel. Which seems designed to ensure that Turning Point USA stays on the side the Ellisons, Bibi, Bari and Trump want them to be on, and that MAGA peeps stop following Candace Owens’ “Israel did it” conspiracy theories.
